2025 San Juan Unified Smooth Start for Teachers

Peter Skibitzki is the Senior Director of Technology Services for the San Juan Unified School District (SJUSD). He has over 30 years of experience in the computer field, directly supporting K-12 education. Peter earned a B.A. in History from CSU Sacramento and is a Graduate of the UCLA Technical Management Program. Peter was a member of California IT in Educations (CITE), first graduating CTO Mentor Class in 2007, and has also served as an instructor and mentor for the program over the years. He served on the CITE Board of Directors from 2010 to 2020 and was elected Board President in 2015. In 2021, Peter was inducted into the CITE Hall of Fame and presented with a lifetime achievement award for his contributions in supporting K12 education. During his duties at SJUSD, Peter is responsible for managing technical efforts and customer service for educational programs and business functionality. He sits on the Superintendent's Cabinet and is actively involved in the decision-making processes surrounding technology and its use for enhancing the academic experience for staff, students, and parents served by the district.
